Wow, Sandler’s 0 for 2 with me LATELY.
I went into Eight Crazy Nights expecting gross humor, stupid jokes, and some laughs, but the laughs never really showed up. Of course there are a few scattered around, but I wanted more.
And they almost tried to make a musical?
Even Disney’s given up on that, what was Sandler thinking?
OK, to be fair, the musical numbers are pretty much farcical, but still. Yuck.
Adam Sandler co-wrote this flick with a bunch of people, but still, it just isn’t funny. He does three of the voices; basically himself, or at least his typical character, as well as the oddest twins you ever met, Whitey and Eleanore.
Still, aside from a few funny lines from Whitey, still not funny.
I would imagine those, the youngsters will like this a lot.
But their parents, ooooh by, they’re gonna hate it.
