THE BREAK- UP

The Break - Up almost caused my relationship to break up.
No lie.
Not the best movie for a couple to see if they have issues…

Vince Vaughn is great, and Jennifer Aniston is very good in this movie. I’ve never really been very big on her, but she did a great job, though by the end, I didn’t like her character much. Vince, as usual, was great. Hilarious when he needed to be, and pretty darn good when he was dramatic, too.

This movie also had a great supporting cast! Jon Favreau, Joey Lauren Adams, Cole Hauser, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jason Bateman, John Michael Higgins, Justin Long, and Judy Davis. Damn, there are a lot of “J”s… Anyway, all really great. Of course Favreau stands out because I’m a fan anyway, but he was really…creepy? Disturbing? Yeah, that’ll cover it. Good stuff.

My problem with The Break - Up is that it wasn’t really a romantic comedy, but it wasn’t a drama, and it didn’t even feel like a “dramedy”…so what the Hell was it? I mean, it was very funny but it also got serious and like I said, a lot of it hit so close to home it inspired a lot of…tense…conversation between the “missus” and I.
Sigh.
It aint easy.
Anyway, it’s a pretty cool movie.
Just be careful.
And guys, do something nice for your ladies before they see this movie.
The life you save maybe your own!
