SUMMER MOVIE BLOW OUT

Well, the summer's gone. Actually, I guess it's been gone for a while now, but I'm slow, OK?!? Here come the Fall movies, and I say, it's all right!
I saw a lot of movies this summer season. Some were great! Some weren't. At least one, The Haunting, SUCKED!

Here's my Top 5 Summer Movies:

  1. The Matrix
  2. Sixth Sense
  3. Disney's Tarzan
  4. American Pie
  5. The Iron Giant

While it's not in my Top 5, The Blair Witch Project was the winner of the summer movie wars. I know some people don't get it, but I bought into it big time!
I think the creators of this phenomenom really deserve a lot of credit. The premise, the way it was written and shot, and the "organized chaos" worked very well. I think it's very unlikely that any other movie will recreate the magic and atmosphere of The Blair Witch Project.

Some other movies of note this summer were: Notting Hill, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Dick. (Hey, not all good movies make a ton of money!)

So now we have to look forward to the Fall movies. I've already seen the Best Movie of the Year, American Beauty. It's official release date is late September, early October. I WILL be seeing it again! Incredible movie.
Other's to look forward to include: Mumford, Fight Club, Toy Story 2, and of course, Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow!
Can't wait!
