I was talking to somebody, and I made a comment about my life sucking, etc.
(Nothing new, I know)Anyway, this person responded like this:
i suggest that you step back for a moment. you are tremendously, tremendously lucky to simply have been born and be alive. your existence truly is a miracle. (consider it from an evolutionary perspective...think about the many extinctions that have occurred, not to mention the mishaps in human history, ... life itself on this planet erupted by the slimmest of margins...life is difficult to achieve and maintain in the universe, much less intelligent, sentient life.) PLUS once you die, from my perspective, that's all she wrote. So you better enjoy your day.

Actually, it made a lot of sense, I think.
No reference to God was made...refreshing.
