black and white
blood red
and the occasional gray

the colors of my world

no rainbows
no blue skies
no green grass

no sun shining bright

no moon illuminating my night

just black and white and red and gray

all around me
surrounding me
suffocating me

then
the red is everywhere

everything turning gray

and now

all is black

and I have to wonder
where is the bright white now
