Wow, pretty bad.
I mean, I wasn’t expecting much, but I figured I’d laugh a lot.
Instead, all we get is a prolonged skit, and not a very good one either.
I’m sure hardcore Tenacious D fans will get a kick out of JB and KG, and the intro with Meatloaf as JB’s pious father followed by the cheesy / cool Ronnie James Dio cameo was a pretty good one, but it was all south from there.
Well, I also enjoyed (producer’s) Ben Stiller’s scene. He was great, and the premise was…kinda cool in general.
But they just didn’t flesh it out enough and I rarely laughed.
